In 1991 a couple was murdered in the VFW hall in Lamar, Colorado and the case has never been solved.

The couple, Robert and Darlene Culberth were acting as managers of the hall and were preparing to open it for the day. They had been involved with the VFW for many years, Robert a veteran of World War II.

They had reported to the hall just after one p.m. that day and 41 minutes later the alarm system was disabled. The computerized cash register showed the drawer was opened six minutes later.

As two p.m. rolled around, the hall's usual opening time one person rang the buzzer waiting to be let in by the pair. But when there was no answer, she went around to the side door and peered into the window.

She saw Darlene slumped over with a bullet hole in her head and stomach.

The show will try to unravel 28 years of passing time to try and determine the killer.

The episode will air March 9.
