The Town of Breckenridge announced that they will move away from fireworks back in January. This week, the only other town that would put on a firework display in Summit County, Frisco, has announced that they will no longer do fireworks as well. Frisco Mayor Gary Wilkinson said the "Council has decided that it was time to start new traditions" in a statement. Traffic, parking, crowd management, and increased summer fire dangers were all factors in canceling the Fourth of July fireworks show in Frisco.
