I had the pleasure of going to Regal Cinemas last night and watching The Campaign. Its so funny its scary. The movie plays off of political battles and how politicians avoid questions and put blame on others.

The plot starts off with Democratic congressman Cam Brady (Ferrell) being down in the polls after some huge mishaps, but he isn't worried because he is running unopposed.  However, the Motch Brothers (John Lithgow and Dan Aykroyd) are able to convince Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis), a tour guide, to run against Brady on the Republican ticket, which causes Brady to have to campaign for the first time in his political career.

The sad thing about the movie is that all the BS going on actually happens in politics. Brady (Ferrell) was caught leaving a dirty message on his mistresses answer machine. Instead of taking the wrap, he blames them for having a answer machine in this day of age. When asked about how Brady was going to help with jobs, Brady dances around the question and says his famous three lines "Freedom, America and Jesus". This movie although funny, shows the real side of politics. Highly recommended especially with the upcoming elections.
