The Best Thing I’ve Ever Put In My Mouth

Get your mind out of the gutter . . .  I actually had the MOST delicious thing I've EVER had in my mouth, in my LIFE at CMU's Grand Valley Wine Fest on Friday (10/11) and it wasn't the wine!

I know the picture doesn't do it justice, but I was lucky to even get it, because once it was known how delicious these were, they couldn't bring them out fast enough!

Sodexo, which is who provides dinning services at Colorado Mesa University, and provided all the culinary delights at Friday's event is my MOST favorite caterer in the Grand Valley after tasting something called

Maple Glazed Apple Rumaki*

This was by far the MOST deliciously amazing thing I've EVER eaten and I've even had a $500 meal at a 5 star restaurant!

There is no way I'll be able do the flavors it contained justice with words, but I'll try . . .

Imagine it's breakfast and you have a plate of maple bacon, apple pancakes, and all the most delicious items normally included in a breakfast meal on your plate . . .

Now imagine all of those items contained in one little appetizer made out of a chunk of apple coated with panko type breading with bacon in it and flavored with maple drizzle!

Ahhhhh . . . . My mouth waters just remembering it!

It was seriously SO good I had to track down the General Manager and all the CMU big wigs just to tell them,

This is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth!

I'm sure they thought I was some weirdo . . . .
