Try This Hot Chocolate Recipe

I just had the best hot chocolate ever. Who knew there was more to making hot chocolate than a packet of Swiss Mocha and water.

I went over to a friends house the other day, and she had a big pot of hot chocolate on the stove. She said she was getting it ready to put in a thermos so that she and her family could drink it as they were going to look for lights in the neighborhoods around Grand Junction.

She asked me if I would like a cup and I said sure. It was the best hot chocolate I had ever tasted. I am sure there is more than one good recipe for hot chocolate, but this is what she said she put in her cocoa.

This recipe is delicious I would even do 2 cups whole milk and 2 cups half and half.

• 3 cups  milk
• 1 cup half-and-half
• 1/4 cup good cocoa powder
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• top it off with marshmallows and or whip cream
