Everyone wants to feel like they're safe in their community, which is why the annual SafeWise list of 'Safest Cities in Colorado' is heavily relied on by families looking to move to a specific area.

In a surprising twist, Windsor, where we operate our stations, ranked #3, while Fort Collins didn't even make the top 20. SafeWise uses up-to-date FBI crime data to rank the top picks, and even uses population data as well. It's because identifying "the median city population in each state and [reporting] on cities with populations above the median [reduces] the risk of outliers and lowers the likelihood of an extreme outlier skewing the data."
