Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closing Wednesday (Oct 9) at 6 P.M. due to the snow storm in the forecast.

If you're planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park or Trail Ridge Road this weekend, expect traffic -- like, more than usual.

High winds and 5ft snow drifts force the road's closure.

Visitors snapped photos of just how much snow is up at Trail Ridge Road right now, and it looks pretty incredible.

Trail Ridge Road is still buried under several feet of snow.

Just another reason to be grumpy about Mother Nature's grip on the Rockies. Though bikes and pedestrians will be able to access parts of the road, no vehicles.

You'll have to wait til next year to go on Trail Ridge Road.
