Support Our Community Through the United Way of Mesa County Radio-Thon

Coming up on Monday February 11th, you can help keep our community strong by donating to United Way of Mesa County through the Radio-Thon. Most people think that their $20 a month won't help out that much. Well, lets look at how much just $20 a month can do in our community.

If you don't get Starbucks 4 times a month, you can take that $20 and help feed 17 hungry people in the Grand Valley with a hot meal on a cold day.

If you avoid fast food for 4 days a month for a whole year, that $240 will give 3 victims of Domestic Violence here in Mesa County legal services and counseling.

If you can stay away from the bar for one night each month, for a whole year, the $240 you save and donate to United Way of Mesa County will give  8 hours of structured tutoring  to low income and academically challenged children in School District #51.

It really is that simple, avoid fast food, Starbucks and the bar a few times a month and you can use that money to help build strong families, increase self-sufficiency and promote health here in Mesa County. Find out how to donate and support United Way of Mesa County.
