Is it really supposed to do that? Is it supposed to snow on August 4? Here in Colorado, at an elevation of 11,312 feet, anything weather related is possible.

CBS Denver shared a photo this morning featuring a modest dusting of snow on Monarch Pass. It didn't last long, though. Within an hour, people were posting photos of the same area showing an absence of snow. Imagine that. Rapid changes in weather and temperature is nothing new in Colorado.

Looking at the National Weather Service's forecasts for Monarch Pass, you'll note high temperatures in the 50's, and lows in the lower 40's.
