Summer Orchestra Forming with Young Western Colorado Musicians
How would you like to see your child spend his or her summer doing something creative and constructive? A youth orchestra is being formed by Western Colorado music educators Judd and Jackson Berry.
Rehearsals for the orchestra will begin Wednesday, June 12th, and run each consecutive Wednesday from 4:45 pm to 6:00 pm through July 10th.
Students must provide their own instruments and music stand. Organizers are seeking sixteen violins, ten cellos, six violas, and two or three basses.
A participation fee of $100 and membership in the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra Discovery Program are required. A membership in the GJSO Discovery Program is free and automatic with the $100 participation fee.
Scholarships for the Summer orchestra are available.
