Should Schools Train + Allow Staff to be Armed? [Poll]

The National Rifle Association sponsored a study asking if schools across the country should train selected staff members to carry weapons and should each have at least one armed security officer. Take a look at the results and give us your feedback here!

The NRA put together a task force to complete this report that recommends making a training program available to school staff members who are qualified and can pass background checks.

Of course many people were outraged over the recommendation including the American Federation of Teachers.

However it is receiving support from people like Mark Mattioli, whose son was killed in the Newtown massacre.

Mark praised the NRA for the recommendations, saying,

This is a comprehensive program. I think politics should be set aside. I hope this does not lead to name-calling. These are recommendations for solutions. Solutions to make our kids safer."
