See the Dead Sea Scrolls in Denver
Coloradoans are getting a rare chance to see the famous Dead Sea Scrolls in Denver.
The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition will open at the Denver Museum of Nature and History on March 16, 2018.
These ancient manuscripts include the oldest known Biblical documents dating back 2000 years. Bible believers will no doubt have a great appreciation for these documents, discovered in 1947. The discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls is widely regarded as one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th Century.
According to the Dead Sea Scrolls website, of the more than 900 manuscripts discovered, over 200 of them are referred to as "biblical scrolls," copies of works that are found in the Bible.
This special exhibit will actually feature more than just these ancient scrolls.
Hundreds of objects including inscriptions, seals, weapons, stone carvings, terracotta figurines, remains of religious symbols, coins, shoes, textiles, mosaics, ceramics, and jewelry. It's the largest collection of artifacts from the Holy Land ever assembled for display.
Tickets for this exhibit that will run March 16 through September 3 are not yet on sale, but likely will be a highly sought-after commodity.
