The Mesa County Public Health Department announced Saturday night (March 22, 2020) that the second case of coronavirus (COVID-19) was confirmed in Mesa County.

The second case is a 60+-year-old male who had been in contact with Mesa County's first confirmed case.

Our community-wide response team is working to help stop the spread of illness, but as we’ve shared before we fully expect more cases. The MCPH screening location is collecting dozens of samples every day, those results are being reported to us as they are completed at the state lab in Denver.

According to the MCPDH website, Mesa County has these two cases currently and have 32 negative tests.
