Mike the Headless Chicken Days May 17th-18th

Save the date for Fruita's 15th Annual Mike the Headless Chicken 5k May 18th!

This race is part of Mike the Headless Chicken Days May 17th and 18th in Downtown Fruita, brought to you by the Credit Union of Colorado, Rocky Mountain Orthopaedic Associates and 99.9 KEKB!

Racers can register for the 5 or 10k online here:

or at the Fruita Community Center. The first 400 racers registered will get a Custom Technical Running shirt!

According to Mike's website,

The theme for 2013 is "Mikeritaville" (think island music, sand between your toes, and beach balls). Come enjoy  sand volleyball, sand castle building, a tiki bar and limbo contests. Entrance to the festival is free, along with many of the games and activities.
