Power Outage Effects Orchard Mesa, Whitewater & Gateway

We've been receiving reports of a power outage in the area and have confirmed that it effects approximately 3,400 Grand Valley Power customers.

According to Bill in Operations at Grand Valley Power an End Dump hit an overhead transmission line this afternoon on Orchard Mesa and knocked power out to areas of Orchard Mesa, Whitewater & Gateway.

Thankfully the operator way unharmed and workers are repairing lines right now, and hope to have it back up soon!
