It doesn’t shock me to find out people are doing this. Lots of people don’t agree with getting the COVID-19 vaccine, and I know others that just don’t want to receive a shot. So you are now hearing about people that are buying and selling vaccination cards and others that are just trying to fake their vaccination card. Law enforcement in Maine has put together a PSA about it.

What boggles my mind about this whole thing is the fact that the COVID-19 vaccine is optional, no one is forcing you to get the vaccine. While I have seen offers of free items for those who can show proof of receiving the vaccine, those items are normally valued at a few dollars. Nothing big to entice people to get the vaccine if they weren’t already planning on doing so.

Is It Illegal to Buy or Sell a COVID-19 Vaccination Card

No, it’s not illegal to purchase or sell a vaccination card, although why would you unless you were planning on falsely saying you had been vaccinated. It just seems like a waste of money to me. But if you decide to create your own COVID-19 vaccination card you can be breaking the law because those cards have an official government seal that cannot be duplicated or misrepresented.

Just Stand Firm In Your Beliefs Whether You Get the COVID-19 Vaccine or Not

No one is forcing anyone to get the vaccine. This is completely your personal choice. So if you want the vaccine I encourage you to get it. If you don’t want to, that’s okay too. But please don’t fake it, it will put you and others around you at unneeded risk.
