A school district in Connecticut is banning Halloween. Well, they were planning to at least.

According to the Connecticut Post, Milford Public School officials had decided on some changes to their Halloween policies.

Not only did the school cancel the Halloween parade, but it had also sent out a letter to all parents and staff stating that costumes will not be allowed. A school spokesperson said that the change is due to a number of incidents with children being excluded from certain activities because of religious and cultural beliefs.

Turns out the parents did NOT like the new laws of the land and decided to do something about it.

Hundreds of them started a petition to overturn the new decision.

Victoria Johnson, who's the third grader attends Milford, says she thinks it's crazy and she doesn't understand why other options were not looked into. A similar sentiment was shared by another parent, Heather Sharpe who stated everything is so P.C. that kids are not allowed to have fun anymore.

So, they fought the power. Did it make a difference?
