New law that now requires adult children to visit their elderly parents, with fines or even jail time for not doing so!

It's saddens me to think that a law like this even has to be implemented, especially when you think about everything our parents do for us, but apparently due to the increased urbanization in China, millions of workers are living in cities far away from their parents.

The "Elderly Rights Law" states that adult children,

should never neglect or snub elderly people and should visit their parents often, even if they live far away.

I'm sure lots of folks are now wondering how much "often" means, and how they plan on enforcing the law.
