Mesa County Spanks Bigger Colorado Cities with Tip-A-Cop Earnings
Western Colorado law enforcement earned the title as the second highest grossing team in Colorado during the 2017 Tip-A-Cop campaign for Special Olympics.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers in Grand Junction hosted this event last Saturday. Thanks to you, the Mesa County Sheriff's Office and Grand Junction Police Department generated a total of $5,570.11 in funds, or tips, all for Special Olympics.
Imagine, if you will, Western Colorado law enforcement officers taking orders, wiping down tables, and busing dishes. That's exactly what went down last Saturday.
Colorado locations that competed in the event include:
- Arvada
- Aurora (2 locations)
- Brighton
- Broomfield
- Castle Rock
- Colorado Springs (3 locations)
- Fort Collins
- Grand Junction
- Greeley
- Greenwood Village
- Highlands Ranch
- Lakewood (2 locations)
- Littleton
- Lone Tree
- Longmont
- Loveland
- Parker
- Westminster
Take that, Colorado Springs! Even with this long list of Colorado locations, Grand Junction still finished a strong second!
Thank you to all who came out to enjoy great food at Red Robin. Thanks to you and Colorado law enforcement, many of the state's best athletes have funding to pursue their passion.
