Do you enjoy Dixieland music? Okay, can you tolerate Dixieland music for at least a little while? Some people love it. Grand Junction has a new band, and they're making their debut this Sunday.

Meet the Big Easy Dixie Cats. Chances are you already know most of these guys. You've seen them performing in various other groups for years all over the valley. This Saturday they are coming to Edesia at the Wine Country Inn.

The Big Easy Dixie Cats are:

Front row left to right:

  • Frank Bregar - Saxophone
  • Ron Bradley - Trumpet
  • Waylon Jordan - bass (pay no attention to my giant gut, I'm working on it, okay!)
  • Clark Gault - trombone

Back row left to right:

  • Make Gazdak - piano
  • Pat Olson - drums

You've seen Frank, Mike, Pat, and Waylon with the local group Rock N' Swing. All of the guys listed above perform with Clark Gault's Swing City Express.

The Big Easy Dixie Cats will perform this Sunday, April 7, at the 9th annual Edesia at the Wine Country Inn in Palisade. What's happening at this event? Edesia includes:

  • VIP Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - cuisine paired with local wines for $125
  • General Admission is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. with food, wine, and spirits expo for $50

This event features Executive Chef Dave Kassera and the Wine Country Inn Culinary Team. It also includes a silent auction, local wines, carriage rides, and chef's demo of luncheon recipes at 3:30. Proceeds benefit Marillac Health.

This looks to be a great time. Come enjoy this fun event, support a great local organization, and check out a little Dixieland music.
