Is Colorado lighting up more? A new report shows what the results are since Colorado legalized marijuana.

Since it became legal in January of 2014, has pot usage among Coloradans gone up or down? It could be one of those cases where something forbidden is now accessible, so the stigma kind of wears off and it doesn't seem that taboo or dangerous.

Surveying over 40,000 Colorado residents, including adults and students, shows that marijuana use has increased. But, not across the board. Pot use is up in adults 18-25. The study shows that almost one third of that demographic has used pot in the previous 30 days.

Although marijuana use in Colorado teenagers is significantly higher than the nationwide average, the study shows there hasn't been a visible increase since the pot laws went into effect.

How accurate are these statistics? Well, it's one of the very few studies like this. Not too much else to go on. In addition, how honest do you think teenagers would be about this type of subject? I would be severely paranoid, even if I was told it would be 100 per cent anonymous. Even more paranoid if I was high!
