Loretta Lynn is in the hospital after suffering a stroke on Thursday night (May 4). Her website reports that the country icon is expected to make a full recovery, and a handful of country artists were sending her well wishes via social media on Friday night (May 5), after the news broke.

Among those wishing Lynn a speedy recovery on Twitter were Chely Wright, Martina McBride and Jennifer Nettles. Lynn's sister, singer Crystal Gayle, also shared her family's thanks for fans' prayers, adding, "We hope for a speedy recovery!" Lynn's stroke occurred at her home in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Following her stroke, the legendary singer-songwriter was admitted to a Nashville hospital; she is currently being cared for at the hospital and is responsive, and she is expected to recover fully.

Doctors have advised Lynn to stay off the road while recuperating, so all of her upcoming shows have been postponed. Fans can check Lynn's official website for updates on when shows will be rescheduled.

Lynn celebrated her 85th birthday on April 14. On Aug. 18, she will release a brand-new album, Wouldn’t It Be Great; the following week, on Aug. 25, an exhibit about Lynn will open at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
