My best friend is always looking for new places to meet people, so I recommended he join a group like the Rotarian's. Good news, since I can't keep my membership because I get too dizzy at the rotary meetings, they're recruiting!

According to a pres release the six Rotary Clubs of the Grand Valley are hosting a reception on January 31, 2013 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Partner’s building, 1169 Colorado Avenue.

The event, “Opportunities in Rotary” is open to anyone interested in joining, and light appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Each club will have members present with information and brief presentations for interested parties to determine which club is the most suited to them.

Not sure what Rotary is? Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world, ss signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Claudine Bogart the Assistant District Governor says,

The Grand Valley clubs are all committed on the basic Rotary principal of Service Above Self, and each club has a different personality with varied meeting times.
