Jamie Lee Smith, a native of Grand Junction and graduate of Fruita Monument High School, has been in the film industry for years. Now the local girl comes home to show her new movie "Seven Deadly Words" at the Grand Junction Film Festival at Colorado Mesa University.

The film is a faith based docu-drama which was inspired by true events in the small town of Connersville, Indiana. The home of Egypt Valley Community Church, where change is not welcomed, but sometimes necessary and often rebelled against. Hence, the title of the film, "Seven Deadly Words". Those words? "We've never done it that way before."    

Jamie Lee Smith was the executive producer and assistant directer of "Seven Deadly Words". Smith's film production company, Global Rockstar Productions, located in Miami, Fla. also boasts such Hollywood films as "Jumper", "Battle Los Angeles." Smith is currently working on "Happy Valley the Joe Paterno Story" featuring Robert DeNiro.

Jamie Lee Smith will be at the screening of "Seven Deadly Words" at Colorado Mesa University in the University Ballroom on Friday, February 14 at 12:30pm. She will also be available for Q&A after the screening.

Seven Deadly Words has been nominated for several accolades including; Best Director for the Churches Making Movies, Christian Film Festival 2013, Best Supporting Actor, Red Dirt International Festival 2013, Best Picture, Churches Making Movies and Christian film festival 2013.
