Let’s Try And Put A Senior Dog With A Senior In Assisted Facility

I thought this was the best idea, this nursing home in Flint Michigan puts people and dogs together. By putting aging dogs with aging people they can love each other. It is a known fact that animals bring comfort.

Wouldn't it be great if the dogs could actually live at the facility inside a nursing home, instead of just coming to visit, think about how much healing this could bring and joy to their lives? Many pet shelters could relieve themselves of older dogs and bring companions to those at nursing facilities.

If they can do this in Flint Michigan, there shouldn't be a reason not to do it Grand Junction, Colorado, or Fruita or any of our communities. Pets can do wonders for people, like get them exercising, lower blood pressure and decreased feelings of loneliness.
