J.D. Blair, the man who many consider to be one of the best drummers in the world, recently shared his talents with students studying music at Victor Wooten's ranch just outside of Nashville. Blair made this trip to Tennessee just days before returning to his gig as drummer for Country superstar Shania Twain at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Blair, 'Drum!' magazines 2000 Country Drummer of the Year, has been playing for Shania for years.

Currently, Shania Twain and J.D. Blair are on the next leg of their "Still The One" show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Two short days before Blair was scheduled to return to Las Vegas, he made a detour to bassist Victor Wooten's ranch in Only, Tennessee, roughly 50 miles from Nashville. Blair spent a day performing for bass students at a week long clinic at Wooten's ranch.

Joining Blair at the clinic were legends Chuck Rainey, Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, Futureman, Regi Wooten, and Roy Vogt.
