Because of this, it should come as no surprise that a new study naming the top 25 places to live in the Western United States has placed six of Colorado’s cities on the list, including one at the top spot.

What Are the Best Colorado Cities in Which to Live in 2026?

The study was conducted by a website called Livability and named Broomfield, Colorado, as the best place to live in the Western United States in 2026.

Other Colorado cities that make appearances on the list include Fort Collins, which was ranked as the fourth-best place to live in the Western U.S., Castle Rock, which was ranked fifth, Loveland, which was ranked seventh, Aurora, which was ranked 16th, and Colorado Springs, which came in at number 17.

This particular study was one of five conducted by Livability, with the others listing the top 25 places to live in the Midwest, the top 25 places to live in the Southwest, the top 25 places to live in the Northeast, and the top 25 places to live in the Southeast.

In addition to the Colorado cities named in the study, cities in places like Washington, Utah, Oregon, Idaho, California, Montana, Nevada, and Alaska also made the list.

The website analyzed data from roughly 2,000 cities to compile the list, which makes it even more impressive that six of the top 25 cities named on this particular list are in the Centennial State.
