Steven Tyler from the legendary Rock group Aerosmith has just released his first single as a Country artist and Brad Paisley is doing an opening show for The Rolling Stones. How do you feel about all the crossover action going on between Country and Rock?

Most psychologists and counselors would initiate the discussion by saying "Why do we have to label things?" That's a fair statement, however, the world does have its purists, and some don't dig the idea of Steven Tyler cutting a Country album.

Country artist Clay Walker recently told the Modesto Bee, "We have great singers, great country musicians. There's no reason we have to dilute it is letting people in the format that don't have any business being in the format."

Recent activity on the Billboard and Mediabase Country charts have included hit singles from artists such as The Doobie Brothers and Motley Crue's Vince Neil.

On the flip side, Taylor Swift announced last year she was leaving the Country format and was making the move to Pop. Many critics argued she was a Pop artist to begin with.

Perhaps the first question should be "does it even matter?" There's a school of thought that dictates a song either sounds good or it doesn't, and there is very little in between.
