The History Channel released its latest series 'The Bible' in a home box set a week ago and has already sold more copies than any other television series in the past 5 years.

'The Bible' wrapped up its debut season on Easter Sunday where they brought in 11.7 million viewers. The series premier saw 13.1 million viewers, just slightly shy of the History Channels 'Hatfields & McCoys' finale show that saw 14.3 million viewers. It also has become the top-selling TV miniseries of all time in Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD.

The television series is produced by the same guy, Mark Burnett, who does the 'Survivor' series. Burnett and his wife took on 'The Bible' series and have sold 525,000 home box sets in the first week.
