Chris Brandt, the chief marketing officer of Chipotle had this to say about the promotion in a recent press release:

Given the events of the past year, we are once again bringing our fans together to show appreciation for the heroic efforts of the health care community.

Chipotle has also implemented what they are calling a "virtual thank you wall," where customers are welcome and encouraged to write notes expressing gratitude to healthcare workers that have so selflessly devoted their time, energy, and care during the difficult times we've faced recently.

The popular restaurant chain has also gone a step further and implemented a new gift card program that will benefit the American Nurses Foundation by donating 10% of sales of the cards to the aforementioned foundation up to $250,000.

Chipotle restaurants were founded here in Colorado in 1993 with 16 locations and over the years have rapidly grown to have thousands of locations nationwide.
