High school football in Western Colorado is reaching the halfway point of the 2014 season, which means every game is crucial to making the playoffs.

In Class 3A, #8 Palisade travels to Glenwood Spring as the Bulldogs take on the Demons, and Central is also on the road as the Warriors have their first meeting with Steamboat Springs.

Grand Junction is the only Mesa County school with a home game this weekend, as the Tigers host Smoky Hill at Stocker Stadium. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. Friday, and ESPN Radio 1230 will broadcast the game starting at 6:30 p.m.
