It's been almost seven years since these went up on 24 Road and I-70. I have been in Grand Junction for 8 months and had no idea these things were even here, let alone know what they are.

A couple of weeks back, I was a little lost headed down 24 Road, looking for the new Community Hospital. Forgetting to hit my proper turn I kept heading North until off in the distance, I began to see these tall metal things up ahead. When I first went through the roundabout they looked to me like some sort of 9/11 tribute or memorial type structure.

With my interest piqued, I did some research and here are a couple of articles that I found. That's when I first saw the name Harlan Mosher.

One is a blog that was written the day after the work was completed.

Other is from the Post Independant/Citizen Telegram. This one explains a lot more about the man himself, Harlan Mosher.
