Grand Junction Salvation Army Gets Ready For Holidays

The Salvation Army needs your help this Holiday season.

The Grand Junction Salvation Army location on North 4th street is getting ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons. This puts a heavy strain on their supplies and volunteers. During a typical week (non-holiday), between 500-700 meals will be made and handed out. For the upcoming holidays, that number will more than triple.

There are several well worthy causes across Mesa County. They run throughout the year and especially during the holidays. I am not saying you have to give or donate to only this particular organization, this is just one option that we can give to if you desire.

They are also collecting toy and jackets along with food donations.

Holidays should be about giving rather than receiving.
