Why is Parker McCollum the "Limestone Kid"?

Parker's debut album in 2015 was named "The Limestone Kid". He wrote 9 songs and included 2 more written by family members. Many of the stories/lyrics on that first album are set in Texas where Parker grew up and spent time in Limestone County. The area is well represented on the first album.

The follow-up "Probably Wrong" in 2017 is an impressive album. It's a great-sounding self-release showing his talent without the aid of a label behind him.  It offered a single that got plenty of attention called "Hell of a year".

How Manu Number 1 Country Singles Does Parker McCollum Have?

Parker is enjoying back-to-back number-one singles on the country charts. 2019's "Pretty Heart" went to the top as did "To Be Loved By You" back in mid-March. He was also the winner of Back to Back ACMs. The Academy of Country Music named him the New Male Artist of 2021 and selected him for the award again in 2022. Check out the tunes below:
