A Gateway man who allegedly chained and raped a woman in his home has taken a plea deal. Claude Wilkerson has agreed to spend six years in prison as part of his plea deal.

Claude Wilkerson was arrested in March 2016. He allegedly chained up and raped a woman repeatedly over the span of several months, according to KKCO.

According to KKCO, he told the woman that he was a serial killer and that he saw the devil inside of her. Allegedly he kept her chained up in his home to get the devil out of her.

Claude Wilkerson was charged with:

  • First-degree kidnapping
  • Sexual assault
  • Contributing to the delinquency of a minor
  • Harboring a minor
  • False imprisonment

Although he was set to go on trial later this month, Claude has now accepted a plea deal and pleads guilty to:

  • Second-degree assault (Class 4 felony)
  • False imprisonment (Class 5 felony)

Claude will spend six years in prison. According to KKCO, he's no stranger to getting in trouble with the law. Claude Wilkerson has been arrested for damaged property, DUI, intimation offenses and killing three people while robbing a jewelry store.
