4 Things We Love About Fisher’s Liquor Barn on its 40th Anniversary
Fisher's Liquor Barn is celebrating 40 years in business.
Yes, four great decades for this family business, which is now in its second generation of ownership. It's situated on the same land where the Fisher family started a dairy farm in 1957 and not only has the liquor business expanded several times, but the family added Fisher's Market when they opened a strip mall behind the barn. Fisher's Market features natural meats, cheeses, seafood, and other specialty food items.
In honor of this special occasion, we compiled four things we love about Fisher's Liquor Barn, one for each decade they've been in business:
1) They're truly a one-stop-shop. Their biggest goals are to offer the best prices and selection but their staff also has quite a bit of knowledge to help you find just what you need. All employees are TIPS certified and several have Wine Sommelier Certification, Colorado Wine Certification, and food and wine pairing training, according to Fisher's website.
2) They offer delivery service. Yes, the wine, spirits, and beer comes to you. They offer delivery within 20 miles of their store every day of the week, as well as delivery to some extended areas on certain days. You can check to see if you're in their delivery area here, and schedule the delivery online as you're checking out. (They only deliver to people ages 21 years and older who are not intoxicated and can produce a valid Colorado driver's license.)
3) They offer curbside pickup. If you're in a hurry, place an order online, select curbside pickup when you're checking out and then pull into the designated spot and give them a call. They'll bring out your order and you'll be on your way. And don't worry about limited selection — they offer more than 5,000 items on their website!
4) We love their online cuisine match tool. It's extremely detailed, offering pairings with steak, burgers, seafood and more. It will even tell you what wine pairs well with cheesecake! Find it along the left side of their website homepage.
