Looking for a chance to take in the fall colors without having to make a drive over the Mesa? There's a great trail right here in Grand Junction offering every fall color you can think of.

The leaves are falling fast, so don't delay. Make your way to the Audubon Trail in Grand Junction. Yes, I know, I talk about this trail all the time. There are several reasons why.

The Audubon Trail portion of the Riverfront Trail system offers a convenient location, great parking, free access, and plenty of things to see. It is relatively uncrowded and is host to some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Add to this the variety of trees and shrubs and their fall colors, and wallah!

Leaves are dropping fast, so don't delay. Now is the time. If you would like to catch the fall colors, it would wise to make this walk the next on your list.

With cooler temperatures, you'll catch a handful of people trying to get in their last jog for the season. The occasional family of bicyclists will wander by from time to time. Every once in a blue moon you'll see somebody fishing. That's about it.

The trail is well maintained year round. Actually, fall and winter are my favorite seasons on this trail.

You don't have to drive far to catch a wonderful display of fall colors. Set a course for the Audubon Trail just of Broadway on the way to the Redlands.
