This Christmas marks the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Truce, a widespread but unofficial cease fire, during World War I. Do you remember the music video inspired by the event?

Paul McCartney's "Pipes of Peace," the title track from the album, featured a video inspired by the Christmas Truce. Paul McCartney himself played a soldier who chose to partake in the cease fire, and join in on a friendly game of football.

The album "Pipes of Peace" was released in 1983. So if you think bout it, the time between the truce and the video inspired by the event was only 69 years.

Are you ready to feel old? Consider this: If you can recall when the video came out (1983), then you've been around for more than 1/3 of the period of time since the event occurred.

This Christmas, take a moment to get in the spirit of the season and remember this amazing event, not to mention a not-too-shabby video.
