This Thursday, February 4, is national "Create a Vacuum Day." Do you plan to celebrate? If so, how?

First off, it seems necessary to establish exactly what this "holiday" implies. Does "Create a Vacuum" day mean we should all run out and construct super-duper high-tech cleaning devices for the use of removing dust from our carpets?

Perhaps this holiday means we are all supposed to utilize this day to create a vacuum chamber similar to those we goofed around with in junior high science class. Which is it?

Unfortunately, the origins, history, and implications of this holiday are more than a little vague. Maybe we're supposed to create a vacuum in our lives? Maybe your life doesn't "suck" enough, and you need to create a void.

Maybe those responsible for creating this weird holiday wrote it down on a calendar, and that calendar got sucked out the window. Is this why there is no official documentation for the holiday? In any event, Christmas is way behind us, and the next handful of holidays are real duds. Why not celebrate "Create a Vacuum Day"?
