A Denver parent, involved in an altercation with a school bus driver is being investigated for third-degree-assault.

Brandi Martin met the bus and got involved in an argument with a school bus driver and police are looking into whether or not charges will be filed after getting into a fight over the release of the children to their parents.

The driver of the bus, more than 70 years old, pulled the bus over because the children were being "unruly". Some of the children on the bus called their parents, who met the bus and tried to get their kids off the bus.

The driver, however, was not releasing the children and that's when the fight started.

Martin boarded the bus to get her daughter when the altercation became physical. Witnesses believe Martin was defending herself when she began punching the driver repeatedly in the face.

Bus drivers have the option to pull the bus to the side of the road and contact DPS authorities, which the driver did.
