CPW Looking For Public Thoughts On New Parks
Currently, there are 41 state parks in Colorado, but Colorado Parks and Wildlife wants to add more and you can help.
With more people visiting our beautiful state CPW wants to add more parks for people to enjoy.
To decide on a park for inclusion, it has to have certain amenities, such as:
- Financial Sustainability
- Natural Resource value and conservation
- Relevance and community value
- Meets Colorado's needs
- Outstanding nature-based recreation
Every state park in the state offers something for everyone, whether its trails or exceptional areas around rivers and streams or tucked into the mountains with more beauty.
Have you ever been to a place in Colorado that you thought would make an excellent park? Is there someplace that you think has been ignored and now everyone should know about it? Suggest it to CPW and maybe it too will become a state park in beautiful, colorful Colorado.
