Brian Garrett, a 45-year-old Fort Collins man, and father of four died after experiencing COVID-19 symptoms on Thursday, according to a Coloradoan report.

Garrett drove a van for Columbine Health Systems, taking patients to and from medical appointments.

Symptoms began first with a headache followed by fever, coughing and vomiting. He isolated himself from his family and went to the hospital when he experienced issues breathing.

Brian was a 1993 graduate of Rocky Mountain High School and leaves behind his wife Rebecca and their four children — Savannah, 20, Emilie, 17, Graham, 10 and Grace, 2. Emilie is a senior at Fort Collins High, and Graham is a fifth-grader at Lopez Elementary School.

Garrett has a GoFundMe page to assist his family with grief counseling, medical bills, and day-to-day expenses.
