A Colorado woman was caught breaking into cars in the early hours of Wednesday, March 23, 2022, and was subsequently shot, suffering life-threatening injuries.

The incident took place on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at around 3 a.m. on Eagleridge Boulevard in Pueblo, Colorado.

It has been reported by the Pueblo Police Department that they received a call about a shooting in the area around 3:25 a.m. and were dispatched to check out the crime scene. There they found a woman with multiple gunshot wounds who was then transported to a local hospital.

The Incident that Led to the Colorado Shooting

It has also been reported that the reason that the woman was shot is that she was caught breaking into vehicles and was subsequently shot by a man nearby multiple times.

According to the Pueblo Police Department, the woman was reportedly joined by numerous other people breaking into cars, all of which fled the scene while the woman was being shot.

Who Was Involved in These Colorado Crimes?

While neither the identity of the woman that was shot nor the identity of the gunman have been released, we do know that the man who shot the woman was arrested on-site without incident and is currently facing a charge of first-degree assault.

The woman's condition is not quite known at this time but it was reported that she was brought to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. In addition, none of her accomplices have been identified or caught as of now.
