This Colorado Town Made the List of ‘Wealthiest in The Entire Country’
One of the conversations down the hallway at the radio station this week involved a few of us trying to guess which town is the richest in America. Do you know that none of us got it right?
Do you know what the wealthiest town in America is? What about the wealthiest town in Colorado? Thanks to an article from Veranda.com, we are about to find the answer to both questions.
America's Richest Town
Veranda.com and Bloomberg's Richest Places Index both point to the same place. America's wealthiest town sits in Silicon Valley, less than ten minutes from Stanford University. It's the town of Atherton, California.
The average household income in Atherton is around $525,324, and the town is home to almost 7,000 people. According to Veranda.com's list, every one of the twenty wealthiest towns in America features an average household income of at least $300,000 or higher.
Colorado's Richest Town
Coloradans know Cherry Hills Village is a town made of money. Located just down the road from Denver, the community is home to about 6,353 people. Multiple celebrity athletes have called this community home at one time or another, including John Elway and Peyton Manning. According to the real estate site Zillow, the median home value in Cherry Hills Village is just under $2,612,000.
