Colorado Schools Moving To Four Day School Week

If you go to school in District 27J you are moving to a four day school week. That means a three day weekend. However, teachers will have to come in one Monday a month.

The new schedule hopes to save the school district about a million dollars in three areas. They hope to save by not running the buses one less day a week and by not paying for substitute teachers as well as utilities.

District 27J picked Monday as the day kids won't have to come to class this will all go into effect in August.  School District 27J serves 18,000 students in Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson, Thornton, and Aurora.
