Grand Junction's C.D. Smith Building
C.D. Smith and his family were well known in Western Colorado as the owners of multiple drug stores, the Smith Chemical Company, American Wholesale Company - Grand Junction, and Hygrade Labs. Many of these businesses shared the 45,000 square-foot space between 1936 and 1993.
Climbing the Sterling T Smith Educational Tower
It's a modest $8 for adults and $6 for kids to enter Grand Junction's Museum of the West. Access to the tower requires paid admission. Hopefully, residents may be able to enjoy it for free one day since it really does offer one of the best views of Grand Junction. Storyboards at the top explain the features in each direction.
