Grand Junction has done a great job of making sure there are several parking options downtown. As of January 27th, a few changes have been made as the city advances to the final phase of downtown parking improvements. Here's what you need to know.

Changes To Downtown Parking Lot

According to the city, parking lots in downtown Grand Junction will include several four-hour parking lots on  Colorado Avenue in the 400, 500, and 600 blocks, and at the DMV's North and South Lots at Colorado Avenue and 1st Street.

Ten-hour parking lots near downtown Grand Junction will include 600 Rood Avenue and 500 Ute Avenue. Users who park in these lots must display a ten-hour parking permit. Permits can be purchased online here.

Once you have a ten-hour parking permit you can use it to park in the lots mentioned above or in the ten-hour metered spaces throughout the downtown.

Enforcement of downtown Grand Junciton's parking policies is now monitored from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking remains free after 6 p.m. and on weekends and holidays. 

Pay stations will continue to replace the single-spot meters throughout the area. Using the Passport App, you can use coins, credit or debit cards, or pay for parking with your smartphone.

Parking Rates

Grand Junction's new parking lot map (found here) shows nine parking lots in the downtown area and the parking garage on Rood Avenue. The four-hour lots on Colorado Avenue will charge $1 per hour, while ten-hour lots will charge .50 cents per hour and are located further distance from downtown.
