Colorado Gives Day is Your Chance To Make A Difference
We have made it through Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, so are you ready for Giving Tuesday? Colorado celebrates it's own giving day called Colorado Gives, and it is next Tuesday.
With all of the spending that goes on Thanksgiving weekend, it is nice to remember to give also. That is the thinking behind Giving Tuesday, which falls just after Cyber Monday. Here is Colorado, we like to take care of our own groups, so we created Colorado Gives Day, which falls on December 6, 2016.
Colorado Gives Day was designated as an individual day to help out in our own communities. The website for ColoradoGives is set up for you to give to non-profit organizations throughout the state. You can even schedule your donations in advance.
You can donate to cause, zip code location or county. There are over 58 pages of groups listed on the website. Some of them in Grand Junction include Homeward Bound, Partners, Marrilac Clinic, Museums of Western Colorado and the Children's Nature Center just to name a few of the 132 non-profits listed for our zip code.
Montrose has 92 groups and the Glenwood Springs area has 142. There are lots of great groups to choose from and this is a great way to feel good about helping others in our towns.
