The good news is that 2025 marks the third straight year that auto theft numbers have declined in Colorado. While numbers are down, the high rate of vehicle theft has not disappeared. Thefts are down 34% from 2024, but key population centers such as Denver, Aurora, Pueblo, and Colorado Springs still lead the state in incidents. Drivers statewide need to remain vigilant.

How the List Compares to 2024 Rankings

Colorado's list of the most stolen vehicles in 2025 is similar to the 2024 list, with pickups and popular sedans still being stolen at an alarming rate. While the number of stolen vehicles was lower around the state in 2025, the bulk of thefts remained centered in the Front Range’s largest cities. This regional concentration affects statewide insurance rates and local law enforcement focus.
