Police are looking for a man suspected of murdering another man Sunday, December 6th in Saguache, Colorado.

The man, 45-year-old Donald Lee Garcia is suspected of murdering another man from Salida early Sunday morning in Saguache. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is warning the public that Garcia is presumed to be armed and dangerous and is possibly hitchhiking.

The incident took place just before 4:30 a.m. on the 800 block of Gunnison Avenue in the small town where police arrived on the scene following a tip that a man was at a residence there injured. We do not yet know the identity of the man as police are withholding the information until his relatives are notified, but we do know that he was in his 50s.

Garcia is described as being between 5 foot 5 inches and 5 foot eight inches with a weight of around 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black beanie, blue jeans, black shoes, and is described as having a mustache, goatee, and long black hair.

Police have also said that they aren't sure if Garcia has a car or not, and maybe currently hitchhiking. They are discouraging anyone to pick up any hitchhikers in the area and if anyone is seen hitchhiking nearby that fits Garcia's description, to alert the police immediately.

If anyone matching Garcia's description is spotted in Saguache County or neighboring areas, police are urging the public to make a report to the Saguache County Sheriff's Office at (719) 655-2525.
